Raffle results!
Thank you to everyone for participating in the rewards reloaded challenge. On 9th December 2021 18:00 UTC we conducted a live raffle in our Fairground Jam to determine the 300 lucky participants who will receive 10 VEGA each.
We are overwhelmed by your participation. Over 570 of you completed the task this time and we are excited to see our incentives taking off. The next incentive will go deeper into governance on Vega and we will use Python + API calls for the next incentive tasks, so hope you will also learn something new.

How to claim your tokens
After 17th December 2021, winners will be able to get a token claim link by logging onto the token rewards website with the Twitter account used to register for Fairground Incentives (this is the Twitter handle on the list above). You will be asked to confirm your country of residence - unfortunately those in restricted countries will not be able to claim tokens.
This is a unique, one time use link, and not specific to any individual so it can be used by anyone to claim tokens. Please treat it with the same security as you would a token. Unfortunately Vega cannot rectify any mistakes, lost links, or links that have already been used. You know the drill!
All tokens have a 12 month linear vesting starting on 3rd September 2021. All tokens, either locked or vested, can be staked on the Vega network once it is live.
Incentive Details
From Thursday 2nd December 12:00 UTC until Sunday 5th December 23:59 UTC, the an incentive ran on VEGA Fairground.
Thanks to everyone who particpated in the last incentive, we managed to identify and fix issues of our staking and rewards UI. Let's give our new reward UI a go now!
During the incentive, we will 'crash' and restore the network from a checkpoint and also change some network parameters. This way, we can simulate an emergency and explore some edge cases.
Up to 3000 VEGA tokens between all participants will be given away to those who have successfully registered and completed the incentive tasks. In case of more than 300 successful participants, a live raffle in our Fairground Jam will be held to determine 300 winners that are rewarded with 10 VEGA each.
Please note, if you are using a local wallet you must be on version 0.9.2 (or later). You can download the latest wallet by following these instructions
How do I register for incentives?
If you are registered already for our last incentive and are still using the same wallet you are automatically registered for this incentive as well.
If you are new (or you changed your VEGA wallet), you will need to tweet a message with a signature from your 0.9.2 (or later) Vega Wallet.
Instructions on how to do this are here.
Once signed up you will see your Twitter handle on the registrations page within 30 minutes, this is the confirmation that you have successfully registered.
How to participate in the incentive
This incentive involves the community in testing our newest staking & rewards feature. Please be aware, that the UI is at an alpha stage and we involve you at the earliest point to test our network at the bleeding edge. THIS IS NOT a tutorial for beginners.
The incentive tasks are:
- Nominate testnet VEGA to at least one validator on the token site. You can get testnet VEGA from our faucet on console. If you have any issues with this step, please watch this detailed explanation video.
- Wait for at least a full epoch with your stake distributed.
- Wait for another 3 epochs to unlock the rewards.
- Withdraw testnet VEGA rewards.
- Associate and nominate your rewards to a validator.
So this way, we get some stress testing around rewards.

Rules
- Breaking things is encouraged! Tell us how you broke them and we may give you a tip if it’s found to be a critical bug. Demonstrate exactly how to reproduce it here. Include screenshots/code snippets in as much detail as possible to be eligible for a tip.
- The Vega project reserves the right to not reward participants that are not participating in the community spirit of the incentive programs i.e. botting to collect as many rewards as possible.
- In the event of unforeseen issues and/or a network crash (or essential reset) we will either restart the event OR track and reward those that participated successfully. The course of action will depend on the unforeseen issue. If you miss out, don’t worry, there are many more incentives planned for the coming weeks and months.
- Attempting to create multiple entries by changing twitter handles, having multiple personal accounts, using bot or farmed twitter accounts or by any other means will result in disqualification from this, and any future, incentives.
- The winners of the rewards from the raffle will be determined algorithmically in a livestream.
- The outcome of the raffle will be determined by Gobalsky Labs Limited alone and In the event of any dispute, its decision shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into relating to such decision.
