Dodgems Revival V Weekend trading game details

From Friday 18th November 4 pm UTC until Sunday 20th November 10 pm UTC, we will be running an additional trading game (Dodgems Revival V Weekend). The game will be based on PNL as well but on a shorter timeframe.

The weekend PNL checks the % gain from the start of the incentive, 18th November 4 pm UTC until the end of the weekend incentive Sunday 20th November 10 pm UTC.

You receive no extra funds apart from the mUSDT-II already received on Dodgems Revivial IV, to use on the LINK/mUSDT-II market.

Aim for the top spots of the leaderboard below in order to receive the highest reward according to the distribution table below. Trade using either our console, or API.

Of course you can win both Dodgems Revival IV and Dodgems Revival V Weekend.

PNL Leaderboards

PNL:

Example: At the start of the incentive on Friday at 4 pm UTC you have 1000 mUSDT since you lost a bit during the first few days, and at the end of the incentive on Sunday 10 pm UTC you have 2000 $mUSDT-II, then your PNL is 1000 $mUSDT-II.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE INCENTIVE

To compete in this incentive, you need to:

1. Create a Vega Wallet, you can choose to use Desktop, which might be easier, or the CLI version.

2. In case you have never taken part in Vega incentives you will need to register your wallet and Twitter ID for incentives.

3. Join Discord and follow the @vegaprotocol Twitter account, like and retweet the Dodgems Revival V Weekend tweet
4. Register in the form in order to receive the asset (mUSDT-II) needed to trade.
5. Start trading on the LINK/mUSDT-II market using the Console or API, at least 5 trades per account needs to be performed in order to be eligible for the rewards.
6. End up at the top of one or more leaderboards in order to collect your reward!

Please note, if you are using a local CLI wallet, you are required to run version v0.62.0 or later, as for the Vega Wallet Desktop app v0.2.0 or later is required. You can download the appropriate wallet by following these instructions.

Important to note is that the wallet version used for incentives are for testnet only!

Weekend PNL Rewards

By competing in a lifelike market for a share of the VEGA incentives, you’ll learn about Vega and find out first-hand what it’s like to trade on Vega markets.

In addition to the trading game incentive, we would highly appreciate any bugs or suggestions of improvements to the console to be submitted on github discussions.

The project will also benefit from all the data created, metrics collected, and feedback received, which will help develop and improve the protocol. If we’re really lucky and something goes wrong we might even find and fix some bugs!

Incentive Governance

In case for some reason the incentive has started and run for at least 12 hours and runs into issues that prevent it from continuing, including restarting, within a reasonable amount of time, it is up to the community to decide what to do by incentive governance.

Incentive governance means that the community members are allowed to make proposals through the Ambassadors, on how to settle the incentive. The proposals should be added to a vote which will be had at the end of the original incentive.

The following needs to be true for a governance vote to be valid.

1. The incentive must have ran for at least 12 hours.
2. No specific user can be named in the reward structure, e.g. user AB receives all rewards.
3. The amount of total rewards can not exceed the original amount.
4. In case it is decided to reward people
5. The incentive has reached its end and users were not able to participate in a way that made it possible for users to participate in the intended way.
6. Only registered participants in the incentive votes are valid, this includes twitter, discord and vega public key
7. At least 2 different alternatives need to be available to vote for, and users need a sufficient amount of time to vote.

Example of an option for voting

1. Change the reward structure to raffle 20 $VEGA to 75 users
2. Keep the current reward structure

HOW TO CLAIM YOUR TOKENS

After 30th December 2022, winners will be able to get a token claim link by logging onto the token rewards website with the Twitter account used to register for Fairground Incentives (this is the Twitter handle on the list above). You will be asked to confirm your country of residence - unfortunately, those in restricted countries will not be able to claim tokens.

This is a unique, one time use link, and not specific to any individual so it can be used by anyone to claim tokens. Please treat it with the same security as you would a token. Unfortunately, Vega cannot rectify any mistakes, lost links, or links that have already been used. You know the drill!

All tokens have a linear vesting. All tokens, either locked or vested, can be staked on the Vega network once it is live.

Rules

• Breaking things is encouraged! Tell us how you broke them and we may give you a tip if it’s found to be a critical bug. Demonstrate exactly how to reproduce it here. Include screenshots/code snippets in as much detail as possible to be eligible for a tip.
• The Vega project reserves the right to not reward participants that are not participating in the community spirit of the incentive programs i.e. botting to collect as many rewards as possible or using an exploit to win an incentive.
• In the event of unforeseen issues and/or a network crash (or essential reset) we will either restart the event OR track and reward those that participated successfully. The course of action will depend on the unforeseen issue. If you miss out, don’t worry, there are many more incentives planned for the coming weeks and months.
• Attempting to create multiple entries by changing twitter handles, having multiple personal accounts, using bot or farmed twitter accounts or by any other means will result in disqualification from this, and any future, incentives.
