How to claim your tokens
After 12th November 2021, winners will be able to get a token claim link by logging onto the token rewards website with the Twitter account used to register for Fairground Incentives (this is the Twitter handle on the list above). You will be asked to confirm your country of residence - unfortunately those in restricted countries will not be able to claim tokens.
This is a unique, one time use link, and not specific to any individual so it can be used by anyone to claim tokens. Please treat it with the same security as you would a token. Unfortunately Vega cannot rectify any mistakes, lost links, or links that have already been used. You know the drill!
All tokens have a 12 month linear vesting starting on 3rd September 2021. All tokens, either locked or vested, can be staked on the Vega network once it is live.
Incentive Details
From Wednesday 3rd November 18:00 UTC until Thursday 4th November 23:59 UTC, a new incentive will begin on Vega Fairground.
We are giving away 1500 VEGA tokens between all participants who have successfully registered and completed the incentive tasks. In case of more than 300 successful participants, we will do a live raffle in our Fairground Jam to determine 300 winners that are rewarded with 5 VEGA each.
Please note, if you are using a local wallet you must be on version 0.9.2 (or later). You can download the latest wallet by following these instructions. If you have a hosted wallet you must create a new hosted wallet to participate in this incentive.
How do I register for incentives?
You must re-register to be able to participate in this incentive by tweeting the official Fairground Twitter account @VegaFairground
You will need to tweet a message with a signature from your 0.9.2 (or later) Vega Wallet.
Instructions on how to do this are here.
Once signed up you will see your Twitter handle on the registrations page within 30 minutes, this is the confirmation that you have successfully registered.
How to participate in the incentive
This incentive involves the community in testing our newest staking. Please be aware, that the UI is at an alpha stage and we involve you at the earliest point to test our network at the bleeding edge. THIS IS not a tutorial for beginners.
The incentive tasks are:
- Get testnet VEGA from our faucet
- Associate your VEGA with a Vega key so that it can controll your stake
- Nominate at least five validators
- Wait for a full epoch with your stake distributed
- Play around with the feature, but make sure that at the end of the promotion five VEGA tokens are with one validator
So this way, we get some stress testing around staking.

All announcements for this incentivised period will be made via the official Fairground Twitter account @VegaFairground so make sure you follow to stay up to date. This includes changes, updates and early closing of the period.

Rules
- Breaking things is encouraged! Tell us how you broke them and we may give you a tip if it’s found to be a critical bug. Demonstrate exactly how to reproduce it here. Include screenshots/code snippets in as much detail as possible to be eligible for a tip.
- The Vega project reserves the right to not reward participants that are not participating in the community spirit of the incentive programs i.e. botting to collect as many rewards as possible.
- In the event of unforeseen issues and/or a network crash (or essential reset) we will either restart the event OR track and reward those that participated successfully. The course of action will depend on the unforeseen issue. If you miss out, don’t worry, there are many more incentives planned for the coming weeks and months.
- Attempting to create multiple entries by changing twitter handles, having multiple personal accounts, using bot or farmed twitter accounts or by any other means will result in disqualification from this, and any future, incentives.
- The winners of the rewards from the raffle will be determined algorithmically in a livestream.
- The outcome of the raffle will be determined by Gobalsky Labs Limited alone and In the event of any dispute, its decision shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into relating to such decision.
